Hi im jordan and i like to post spoilers for my own story

I've been having a hard time getting drawings finished and motivating myself so! This was a fun exercise to get thinking about plot points further in the story~ ORIGINALLY I was only gonna do Jo to get the next arm she gets down but I have no self control So! 

Oh! And those ear cuffs most of them are wearing are traditional Thali bonding cuffs (basically wedding rings!) Traditionally, the giver carves a symbol in it that represents them and dyes the cuff a color representative of their bondmate, and if accepted the future bondmate does the same. So, sometimes the carvings are... less than artistic *coughjunocough* but it really is the thought that counts XD

Tentatively, this is what's going on with these people like ~15 years after the start of the story!

Grant- 43, still the head healer in the Shepards but is slowly phasing himself out and training his successor so he can retire. He's married and has a couple kids and wants to go home and practice medicine without the red tape of the military. He's also highly honored in his home country and they keep pushing to get him to take a political position which he keeps declining, progressively less politely lol

Eliot- 47, one of the most feared and respected LEGENDARY human beings on Bast and I can't really go into details but she does alter the very fabric of reality to save her wife and revolutionizes medical technology in the process because death is but a low hurdle for Dr. Rios (when given the right motivation lmao). She's still a civilian contracted scientist for the Shepards and runs her own private research institution alongside her longtime friend Gulzar. She and Jo have three kids and aside from trying to quell the last bits of violence from the war, she's pretty pleased with where her life is. Now if only Jo would get a safer job XD 

Jo, 43, Line Commander of the Shepards and filling Hattori Fuu's shoes as head of combat operations. Down the rest of her arm and some organs, she's now more machine than person and tries not to think too hard about that (her heart is mechanical and was built by Eliot!) and has her own mythos surrounding her- she's helped bridge the gap in understanding between Melek and humans aaaand one of her nicknames that she isn't fond of is the Immortal Soldier. She isn't a huge fan of the politics her position brings but still likes feeling like she has more of a hand in how things are run. She's also ESTATIC to be a mom and grow her family but is trying to keep her kids away from becoming soldiers... poorly, since they look up to her and Eliot equally. Interesting thing about her arm, it's only solid black like that when she's using her powers or expelling a lot of excess energy! Or just around a lot of excess etheric energy which is all the time around the base. It's a pale, almost white silver normally. 

Seraph! HUGE spoiler that I'm not even willing to share XD they're a Melek and they join the Shepards and that's all you need to know! 

Layla, 46, a high ranking and still mysterious figure within the Crimson Thread. She's allied heavily with the Shepards and some in her organization aren't sure if that was a good move, while others think it's a part of a bigger ploy. Layla has also not entirely retired from performing though she doesn't do it as much because she fell in love with Sauria... who was pregnant. She's not really a good mom until the kids get older but she... sort of tries lmao. It's lucky Sauria loves her so much 

Rae, 38, the newly minted chief of the Hma tribe and trying to stay cool under the stress and pressure of running a country when she'd last run a military unit. She and Juno also have four kids and live with the rest of the Mori family in Thali. She's finally come into her own and is confident in her leadership abilities. 

Juno, 39, diplomat for Kurdir turned dual citizen in Thali to be with her wife and kids. I'd write more but! I haven't gotten to that point in my own worldbuilding where other people can decide that stuff (Juno belongs to my girlfriend XBrokenRiversX !)
