I won't leave you again, I won't

20 min sketch before class. Actually I liked just the lines better but didn't save them separately *le sigh* (also hello, inability to draw people from behind, how are you?)

Yoruichi and Soi Fon, in my Bleach AU become the co-captains of Division 2. Yoruichi takes on a larger role in the normal part of the squad and Soi takes a more active role in the Onmitsukidō. (and Soi Fon has a prosthetic arm from her battle with Barragan)

When Yoruichi and the other 'exiles' were pleaded with to come back for the shadow war and the final push against infected Yamamoto, she sought out Soi Fon to work with and to try to apologize again- with a push from Urahara. Soi is reluctant to totally forgive her, but their conversation is interrupted when their side's defenses are broken and shadows and infected attack. Soi Fon fares just fine throughout the battle, but is separated from Yoruichi on the third day. After the battle ends and things settle, Soi is called into the captain's meeting to determine the new captains and system... and still no sign of Yoruichi, even though Yoru is named co-captain.

Cue Soi freaking out, and freaking out more when Isane informs her Yoruichi was infected and brought to Division 4. She practically teleports there, only to run into Yoruichi leaving with her new haori- she hadn't been taken over by the shadows, she just had to get a couple extracted. Soi Fon kind of flips out on her for 'leaving' again and amidst her screaming kind of admits she is in love with Yoruichi, who cuts her off with a tight hug~

~"You told me you wouldn't leave me again!!"

"Bee, I-"

"No! You have no right to call me that! You think you can just disappear again? Am I so worthless to you Lady Shihon?"

Yoruichi flinched at the honorific. It would have hurt more if she hadn't already figured out why Soi Fon was screaming at her. Damn Kisuke was always right... not that she minded this time.

"Soi Fon, I'm right here!"

"But you weren't.... You weren't..." Soi Fon's composure began to crumble, and she shoved Yoruichi weakly. "I thought... You had died, or you had ben lost to those hollows and I.." She squeezed her eyes closed and shook her head.

"You-" Yoruichi tried again.

"I love you, you oblivious idiot! I always have!" Soi Fon screamed again, balling her fists at her sides. "And I know there's no way you love me back, so these emotions are useless! But if you had died an-"

Soi-Fon's words were abruptly silenced when Yoruichi pulled her into a nearly suffocating hug. A minute went by before tears started leaking out of Soi Fon's eyes- she was exhausted, weeks with no sleep and seventy-two hours of continuous fighting, on top of this emotional onslaught. It was too much. She wrapped her arms around Yoruichi and griped her haori, burying her face into Yoruichi's collarbone.

"Why can't... why can't you just love me back?" Soi Fon choked, and Yoruichi simply held her for a few more moments before quietly hushing her.

"Bee..." She murmured, "You shouldn't assume things of people."

"I..." Soi Fon stiffened at Yoruichi's words. "What?"

Yoruichi chuckled. "I love you too, oblivious bee. I always have."
