Class seems to drag on for everyone. Daisuke ditches first period as quickly as possible, avoiding Matthew and Nathan on his way out. He thinks he hears Nathan call out for him but ignores it, ducking his head and making a beeline for math.
He's moving so quickly he forgets to look down like usual, and slams into someone, sending them flying. He finally snaps to attention in time to see the girl land, legs up, forcing her skirt to ride up to her hips.
" Daisuke mumbles, but can't seem to move from the spot, staring at her green panties.
"Hey!!" The girl finally shrieks and springs to her feet, her short blonde hair whipping around her face. She fixes a glare at Daisuke, whose face is burning.
" Daisuke mumbles, looking at the ground. The blonde girl, Nia Yanazaki, looks him over quickly before grinning and stepping closer to him.
"Well I guess I can forgive you hun~" She smirks and places a finger on his chest coyly. "Just watch where you're going next time, hmm?"
" Daisuke looks back up at her, and grins back, his embarrassment forgotten. "If I get to run into you more often, I think I'll stick to not paying attention." He wiggles his eyebrows at her, and she giggles, meeting his electric blue eyes with her green.
"I gotta know though, handsome, what happened to your face?" Her eyes were roving over the mottled purple on his cheek and temple.
Daisuke sighs and rubs the back of his head. "You know those Goumon High gangsters?"
Her eyes widen. "Oh! Those jerks that are always hanging around after school? What happened?"
"Oh well, they cornered me and a friend. I had to step in and save her, you know how it is~" He grins and winks at her.
"Oh, handsome and brave." She smiles and steps even closer. "How noble to save your friend
" She giggles softly. "That's definitely different to all the stories I normally hear about you."
"Yeah, well, you can't always believe rumors." She giggles again and pulls on his loosened tie slightly.
"So-" She hesitates when the bell rings, and lets out a small chuckle instead. "Well I guess I'll see you around, Daisuke." She pats his chest and skirts around him.
Daisuke grins and watches her go before heading to class. The day was looking up for him.
The girl's morning wasn't going quite as well. In first period, flanked by Sauria and Kirei, Jo had passed right out, her head finding Sauria's shoulder immediately. Sauria doesn't have the heart to wake her up, and focuses on taking extra-detailed notes for her, letting Kirei death-glare anyone whose gaze lingers on them for too long.
Rei sits in the back, fuming over the earlier encounter. She gains numerous stares as well but ignores them completely, choosing instead to stare daggers into the back of Kirei's head.
When the bell finally rings, Kirei and Sauria stay seated and wait for the classroom to empty before nudging Jo awake.
"Babe, c'mon, it's time to go." Sauria murmurs, touching Jo's cheek lightly.
mmm?" Jo lifts her head groggily, wincing. She turns, blinking blearily, but smiles at Sauria.
"Ready to go?"
"Oh no, you stay there." The three girls wince at Rei's biting tone. "I get more answers. Now."
"Quit bein' such a brat, Sasaki." Kirei growls.
"Don't fucking call me a brat! Just tell me about the fight!" Rei shrieks at her.
"Rei..?" A petite blonde girl, Kiku Hikaru, approaches shyly and touches Rei's elbow, who seems to relax instantly. "Is everything okay? Why
Oh, Jo, what happened?"
Rei sighs. "Apparently
" She shoots a scowl at Jo, "She decided to get in a fight. But they won't tell me more."
"It's not that we won't tell ya, it's just that Jo ain't talkin and you piss me off." Kirei grumbles.
Kiku raises her eyebrows. "So that is true then? About the fight? Marise called all the cheerleaders in this morning and warned us about the two 'yanki delinquents', ordering us to stay away
No offense, Jo." She giggles nervously.
Jo gives her a small smile and shrugs.
" Kirei states, pushing out of her chair, "I'll tell ya what happened. But me 'n Sauria gotta get Jo to her next period now so we can make it to our class."
Jo scowls and scribbles in her notebook, im not a kid, can get there myself and brandishes it at the group. Rei just rolls her eyes.
"Yeah right, Jo, you can't even talk."
"Keep it up, Sasaki, and you ain't gonna be hearing shit." Kirei states, helping Jo to her feet.
Jo gives Rei an apologetic look, which luckily keeps her quiet.
"Fine. But I'll be seeing you at lunch."
" Kirei rolls her eyes at her before ushering Jo out. Sauria remains long enough to glare at Rei.
"And you'll keep your hands off of her." She growls before turning on her heel and leaving.
Rei flips off Sauria's retreat. "Who the fuck does she think she is?" She raises an eyebrow when Kiku grabs her hand and pulls it down.
"She's Jo's girlfriend Rei. You should get that." She smiles softly, and Rei sighs.
She's still a bitch."
Besides Kirei nearly ripping the heads off of a group of gossiping girls, they get to Jo's next class with no incident and wait for her to take her seat. Jo takes her time pulling out her school supplies before turning back to them.
"Alright Jo, don't die while we're away." Kirei smirks, and Jo quickly scratches down, cant make promises, sorry babe. Kirei snickers.
"Well try, cause Sauria might kill me if yer not around."
"That's right." Sauria grins. "Now, are you sure you're going to be alright? I can sit in on this class, you know, the honor's teacher is boring anyway
and I just-" She hesitates when Jo grabs her hand, smiling fondly.
babe relax. Im completely fine
"Fine?? You're all stitched and fractured and
" Jo cuts her off again by bending down and planting a gentle kiss on her lips. It's short, and when she pulls away she places her hand over Sauria's heart, an already practiced gesture.
"Alright, alright, I'm gonna puke. Let's go Ria
" Kirei grumbles at them, and Sauria gives Jo a final shy smile before following Kirei out.
As soon as they leave Jo sighs and sways a bit on the spot before sinking into a chair. Her head is pounding and she's regretting coming to school.
"Well that was disappointing Jo! I know you can kiss better than that!" Jo groans and looks up to see Bob Butokai stepping out from the corner of the room, lowering her camera phone.
Jo scowls, wishing she could chastise the dark-skinned girl popping out of her uniform.
Damn Jo, what in the world happened to you?" Bob finally notices the state her tall friend is in. "Marise was telling us about some yankis or whatever that got in a fight, that was you?"
Jo makes a face and nods.
"Well ya don't have to give me the silent treatment, you know I don't listen to that airhead." She earns a few glares from fellow cheerleaders at that statement, but neither she or Jo notice, only half aware of the classroom filling up around them.
Jo rolls her eyes and lifts her chin to expose the bruising on her neck. Bob whistles at the sight.
"Daaamn! What in the world actually happened?"
Jo raises an eyebrow before scribbling into her notebook.
look ill tell you later, long story
Bob rubs her head. "Alright, if you say so. But you're all hurt now, does that mean I can't grab your boobs anymore?" She smirks and makes a grabbing motion with her hands.
Jo rolls her eyes at her just as the bell rings.
